Norway is one of the few countries that has massive support for electric cars. The government has solved it quite simply. They have offered a combination of benefits that push you directly into a new electric car purchase even if you do not want it. For example, conventional cars with an internal combustion engine are subject to an extremely high tax. The price of electric cars is there also quite advantageous. And the discrimination of owners of classic cars with combustion engines has reached enormous heights.

For example, the owner of an electric car can proudly park for free on a paid car park and can even use reserved lanes for buses on the road. He can charge his vehicle at public charging stations for free. Do not buy it when you have so many benefits.

Norway underestimated the preparation of infrastructure

So more and more of these vehicles have begun on the Norwegian routes. At first it did not look like a problem, and it worked as it did. Today, the situation is a bit more complicated. The number of electromobiles has risen extremely while the number of charging stations has remained at a low level. This has caused quite a tricky and dangerous situation. If you own a combustion engine, you just need to go to the petrol pump and refuel in a minute.

In this case, it’s harder. The chargers are in small numbers, so the charging of one vehicle takes a relatively long time. As most people need to ride, they have to charge their cars from their own socket where it takes longer. But this would not be a problem if they were doing in the garage. However, most of Norwegian residents live in housing estates and have no own garage.

As a result, residents are pulling electrical cables out of the flats to catch up with their lovers. They knit so dangerous a web for both pedestrians and cyclists. The problem was decided by the Norwegian Automobile Association. The resulting situation shows that electromobiles are a two-sided weapon unless there is an infrastructure ready for them.

In the massive introduction of cars of the future, we are likely to have to prepare for a number of problems that will need to be resolved. Ecologists see only one side of the coin.
